New Employee Orientation Day
This is mandatory 2-day training day for all new employees. The intent of this session is to review Association policies & procedures and on-call procedures. There will be discussion and practice on observation & documentation, values, ethics, confidentiality and positive, respectful workplace behavior. This program also fulfills the Worksafe BC requirements for bullying and harassment training and WHIMIS. New employees should come prepared to engage in dialogue regarding employment at CRADACL, ask questions and gain knowledge about who we are and what we do.

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Full Day Program. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is a safe, non-harmful behavior management system designed to aid human service professionals in the management of disruptive and assaultive people. The goal is to provide staff with the skills and techniques necessary to intervene in a manner that provides for the care, welfare, safety and security of all involved in the situation. This program is intended for those that have never completed Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. This is a mandatory training day for all new adult services employees.

Time: 9am - 4pm
Place: Classroom, 301 Dogwood Street
Cost: $35 (covers cost of workbook). Payable on day of class (this cost is reimbursed following probationary period).
All CRADACL employees who administer medications must take medication administration training. This 3.5 hour training session is facilitated by Rita Bresson, Administrator at Ironwood Place, and adheres to medication administration standards as set by Island Health. If you have not taken medication administration training, then you must register for this session. Space is limited to 20 participants; when this session is full, names will be added to wait list for a future session.
