Celebrating it's 60th year, The Campbell River and District Association for Community Living (CRADACL) is responsible for the operation of several permanent residential services in Campbell River, Oyster River, and Comox. All of the homes have unique characteristics but share a caring, supportive environment to help residents achieve their optimum level of independence. Our residents are adults, living with developmental disabilities.
The Residential Care Worker works as a member of a team responsible for assisting the residents with activities of daily living and to provide opportunities to promote independence and self-esteem. The Residential Care Worker is responsible for introducing and implementing ideas and activities that will increase the resident’s independence and social skills.
As the residential group homes are open all hours every day of the week, the hours of work for the position may include weekend and evening shifts The typical shifts are; 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and nightshift (awake) 11pm-7am.
*Hours vary up to 40 hrs/week with the opportunity to apply for permanent positions.
*Casuals must be available for weekend, evening, holiday and short notice shifts.
As our Residential Care Worker is working within the person's home we are looking for caring, compassionate, respectful individuals who are passionate about supporting others.
